Welcome!
In the spring of 1995 the Wesley Sunday School Class of Emmanuel United Methodist Church was presented with a fund-raising idea that would not only benefit missions, but also provide an inexpensive way for parents to purchase gently used clothes for their kids. It would also give families a way to make back some money from selling their children’s clothes that their kids could no longer wear. We all had young children and closets full of gently worn clothes. We also had a strong desire to contribute to the community. The Emmanuel Children’s Semi-Annual Clothing Exchange was thus born.
This Fall will be our 32nd sale. Some of the organizations we have been able to assist are the Church Health Center, Exchange Club Family Center, First Works, Memphis Union Mission, MIFA, Ronald McDonald House, The United Methodist Neighborhood Center, Redbird Mission, Hope House, Maternal Welfare League, Memphis Theological Seminary, Salvation Army, Reynosa Orphanage in Mexico, Wesley Foundation at the University of Memphis, Wesley Senior Ministries, etc. The list goes on and on.
Thank you for supporting our mission!
Can you help us?
As in any business, advertising is one of the keys to success. The majority of our new customers hear about our sale from current customers and those who consistently support our efforts. Getting more customers in our doors would help you by giving us a better chance of selling ALL your items for sale.
Help support us and the community that we contribute to by spreading the word about our sale. Download a flyer (pdf) with detailed information about our sale and/or a color flyer (pdf) with just shopping information. Please print and post either flyer in your place of business or businesses you frequent. Also, please forward the information via email to your friends, family and co-workers.
